With Alex Tsuk

11 to 17 July 2027, Comox, Canada

✦ Comox, Canada — JULY 2027

Step Into Your Depth. Return Home to Yourself.

This retreat isn't built around fixing you. It's built around a simple, harder thing: giving you a room full of people who won't look away when you stop performing — and enough days in a row for your nervous system to believe it's actually safe to stop.

Your Journey.

No one here is going to tell you what your experience means. No one is going to rush you to "process" or perform a breakthrough on schedule. You'll be witnessed. You'll witness others. That's most of what does the work.

What this actually is

Seven days of heart connection and authentic sharing — cacao, fire, water, breath, movement,  and wild jungle — held inside a structure simple enough to describe in one sentence: a group of strangers becoming humans who trust each other to the point of dropping the masks, remembering who they are, and living life being truly themselves.

If you've spent years being the reliable one, the strong one, the one who had to control others to feel safe, or the one who learned to please everyone just to get their own needs met — this is built for you.

Secure Your Retreat Spot – CAD 2,222

What to expect

Get ready for days full of profound breathwork journeys, ice baths, nervous system reset, inner connection, and deep transformation!

Arrival: All Is Sacred

You arrive as a stranger among strangers, which is its own kind of relief — no one here has a fixed idea of who you are yet. The evening opens with a sacred ceremony: not a performance, just heart-opening medicine, an intention shared out loud, and the first honest sentence of the week. Before the ceremony, you'll write a letter to yourself — sealed, and not opened again until Day 6. Most people say the same thing afterward — that this was the moment the mask started to feel optional. This is where the conditions for your safety for the week are set.

Nervous System & Breath

Morning embodiment practice and Authentic Relating, followed by your first real breathwork session — a way to feel what's actually been sitting in your body. We spend real time on nervous system regulation: what it feels like in your body to be activated, and what it actually takes to come back down, on purpose, without waiting for the feeling to pass on its own. Throughout the day, you'll check in with a rotating partner — a short, one-on-one Authentic Relating exercise that makes vulnerability feel manageable before you're asked to do it in front of the whole group. Next is the first sacred sharing circle — Alex always says breathwork is just prep-work for it, a moment where humans support one another in a profoundly authentic and vulnerable way. The afternoon is dedicated to cold bath therapy — an incredible tool to let go of control, stop procrastinating, and release stuck emotion. You'll be hooked

Emotional Mastery

We spend the day on the shift from letting your emotions run you to actually mastering them — not suppressing what you feel, but no longer being ambushed by it. A different style of breathwork begins shifting mindset and reclaiming your authentic voice. Another rotating partner check-in continues building the muscle of one-on-one honesty. The cold bath in the afternoon is different too, so you feel the range of what this medicine can do, not just one version of it.

Embodiment

We dive deeper into the BreathingCold process with an extended breathwork journey, conscious movement, and somatic practices to reconnect with the parts of ourselves we have learned to hide. Through guided exercises, authentic relating, and a powerful sharing circle, we explore what happens when we stop performing, allow ourselves to be seen, and meet our emotions with curiosity rather than judgment.

Breaking Through: Breath, Body & Inner Strength

Today is about meeting yourself beyond your comfort zone. Through an extended breathwork journey, conscious movement, and powerful somatic practices, we explore the limits we place on ourselves, the emotions we suppress, and the stories that keep us playing small. You'll be invited to meet discomfort with curiosity rather than resistance, discovering the difference between pushing yourself and surrendering control. In the afternoon, we integrate the experience through deep rest, journaling, and authentic sharing — turning what you discover into a deeper understanding of yourself and how you move through life.

Heart Opening, Fire Ceremony & Integration

In the morning, a cacao ceremony opens the heart back up after the previous day spent proving something to the body — the deepest sharing circle of the week follows. By now, people have seen each other cry, laugh, freeze, and come back. This is the day trust stops being an idea and becomes something the group has actually built together, one honest sentence at a time. In the evening, the fire ceremony: you'll open the letter you wrote on Day 1, read it against who you are now, and choose what to release into the fire and what to carry forward — a concrete act with a concrete intention behind it. A closing circle follows: a real conversation about what happens when you walk back into your regular life carrying all of this.

Authentic Self & Integration

We bring the journey together through a final breathwork practice, guided reflection, and authentic sharing. We explore what we have discovered about ourselves, which old patterns we are ready to leave behind, and how to bring more authenticity, self-trust, and connection into everyday life. We close with a group integration circle, celebrating not only the personal shifts but also the connections we have built together.

Who This Is For

You've spent years being the strong one, the reliable one, or the one everyone leans on — and quietly wonder who holds you.

You're willing to be physically and emotionally uncomfortable on purpose, in exchange for something real.

You're tired of performing a version of yourself that keeps everyone comfortable but leaves you exhausted.

You want tools you can actually use afterward — not just a good week, but a different relationship with your own breath, body, and emotions.

What this is not

This is not a retreat where someone fixes you. Nobody here is more "healed" than you are — including us. What we offer is a room, a structure, and enough days for your guard to come down on its own. The rest is what happens when a group of people finally stop pretending in front of each other.

Who this isn't for

You're looking for a passive spa holiday with wellness activities layered on top. This retreat asks something of you.

You're not ready to be seen — this work only lands if you're willing to let people witness you, including the parts you don't show anyone.

You want someone to hand you a fixed version of "healed." That's not what's on offer here, and we'll say so plainly rather than promise something we can't deliver.

Logistics

Included:

All meals, all retreat activities and ceremonies (cacao, fire, water temple, sunrise volcano climb, cold bath sessions, breathwork, movement, sharing circles), and the post-retreat integration calls.

Not included:

Accommodation and flights. We will assist you though and can help you book accommodation.

What to bring:

Comfortable layered clothing, a journal, a water bottle, a sarong, a towel and a swimsuit for the cold bath.

MEET ALEXANDRE

Alex Tsuk - Profile picture - smiling

Ten years ago I was a failing, fully shut-down businessman with two beautiful children and zero connection to my own body. My back had hurt every day for 25 years. I hadn't cried in three decades. My partner told me I was there but not present — I didn't even know what that meant.

She gave me an ultimatum: therapy, or she was leaving. I tried talking to someone but it did not help - so I went to a breathwork session instead, mostly to prove a point. I remember judging the crystals and the feathers. I remember rolling my eyes every two minutes.

All it took was ONE BREATH. I was crying for the first time in thirty years, and something in me that had been frozen since childhood started to thaw.

I thought if someone like me can have such an experience, then I had to dedicate my life to the Breath.

So here I am. I'm not a superhero, and I've stopped pretending to be one.

What I do know: breath, community, letting go of judgement, approaching life with curiosity and compassion, taking radical responsibility and revealing your experience will change your life faster than almost anything else available to you. I've watched it happen for over thousands of people in my workshops and trained hundreds of facilitators to do the same work — one of them was the therapist who sent me to that first session.

I live in Bali with my kids, my incredible partner, my dogs and cats, and a nervous system that's finally on my side. Come as you are. That's the only requirement.

What Our Students Say:

Loz - breathwork facilitator training bali

This experience has been the BEST investment I've EVER made in myself. The amount of safety and trust I felt in the container Alex created, allowed me to go deep and fully trust the process. I learned so much about myself and my triggers and received tools and lessons that I know will ripple out into the rest of my life. This experience is magic. It gave me permission to drop my mask, allow myself to be fully seen in all my vulnerability.

Loz

Xenia - did the facilitator training in Bali - seen with arms leaning on knees smiling to camera

Through this experience, I remembered who I am. It helped me see myself clearly again, uncover what is blocking my growth, and begin to let it go. It felt like years of therapy in three powerful weeks. I came home stronger and with something to fight for: my Self.
Breathwork and ice baths are tools for emotional release, trauma healing, and deep reconnection with the Self. And that’s exactly what I experienced in the environment Alex created for us, in which I felt safer than anywhere I had ever been to just be ME.

I'd been wanting to try a breathing session for a while, and it took me a long time to find the right person. During my next vacation, I decided to go with Alex because I wanted a professional I could trust, someone I could trust, not just someone advertised at the usual tourist spots.

And I was absolutely right! The session exceeded all my expectations. I felt a connection I'd never experienced before, to the point where I didn't want it to end. The connection I felt during and after the session is indescribable; you have to experience it yourself to understand it.

Alex is a wonderful person—understanding, respectful, and incredibly skilled. He creates a safe environment that allows you to focus completely and not be distracted by anything else.

I highly recommend everyone try this experience with him without hesitation.

The training was incredibly powerful, insightful, and transformative. I gained a much deeper understanding of myself, the mechanisms of breathing, and the profound impact breath can have on the body and mind.

Alexandre is highly skilled and creates a safe, supportive space while respecting each person’s individual rhythm. The experience was also incredibly rich in human connection and meaningful encounters.

A huge thank you Alexandre for everything 🙏

I took part in Alex's three-week training in August, originally hoping to get certified and to dive deep into the technical side of things — I've always been drawn to understanding how the human body and mind actually work, and that's exactly what I asked about on the info call before signing up.

What I didn't expect was to be so moved by the depth of the exchanges, and by Alex's own vulnerability and authenticity. I've done a lot of coaching and training before, and I have never seen a facilitator be so genuinely human and real. I can't thank him enough — because of that, I had a real breakthrough about how powerful it is to be authentic and unashamed of showing vulnerability. His openness gave every participant permission to drop their guard and go much deeper in their own process.

I arrived at this training bleach-blonde, with fake nails, and a sharp, controlling way of holding myself. I left having cut my hair, reconnected with my natural color, ditched the fake nails, and given myself permission to be present and to do things for myself — to let go of pressure and simply be. I feel far more grounded in my everyday life now, and it shows in my relationships and in my work as a coach; reconnecting with that authenticity was essential for me professionally.

I also came away with a huge amount of real content and information, which was equally important to me. So this training is both serious and rich in substance, and deeply, powerfully transformative. I would recommend it a thousand times over to anyone who wants to strip away what isn't real, reconnect with themselves, and become an ethical, engaged, and authentic coach.

I came to Alex and Breathing Cold (The Lost Art of Being Human) to deepen my understanding of breathwork and learn how to become a better facilitator.

What I didn’t expect was how much the training would change my understanding of relationship.

One of the deepest lessons I took from Alex is that relationship is relationship. Whether I’m facilitating a breathwork journey, sitting across from a friend, connecting with a partner, or simply meeting another human being the way I show up is the same.

And perhaps most importantly, the way I show up in relationship with others is deeply connected to the way I show up in relationship with myself.

The three weeks were far more than learning breathing techniques. They were an invitation to look honestly at myself my patterns, my emotions, my stories, my strengths and my limitations and to experience what it really means to be present with another person without needing to fix, control or change what is happening.

Alex has a rare ability to create an environment where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable while still being challenged to grow. He teaches from experience and embodiment rather than simply from theory. He doesn't just teach you how to facilitate breathwork; he teaches you how to be in relationship.

That distinction has changed the way I see facilitation.

I’m leaving this training with far more than a facilitator qualification. I’m leaving with a deeper understanding of myself, a stronger connection to my own breath, and a much clearer understanding that the quality of the space I hold for another person can only ever be as honest as the relationship I have with myself.

Alex, thank you for the depth of what you teach, the space you hold, and the way you walk the path yourself.

I’m incredibly grateful I found my way to Breathing Cold.

I didn't really know what to expect before joining Alex's breathwork session on Gili Air. Curiosity brought me there, and I'm genuinely glad it did.

I left the session feeling more aligned, grounded, and aware of the path I still have ahead of me. The experience was both powerful and insightful, offering space for reflection and personal growth.

Alex is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely caring. His calm presence creates a safe and supportive environment where you can fully trust the process and explore at your own pace.

Thank you for this meaningful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone curious about breathwork or looking to reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.

This was my second time joining Alex at his retreat in Ubud.

Together with his wonderful assistant Isabel, Alex creates a calm, safe, and comforting space that invites authentic connection with both the group and yourself. The environment feels open, allowing vulnerability to arise naturally without pressure.

The combination of breathwork, ice baths, and authentic communication is guided with care and expertise, and you will come away enriched with new methods of self-care.

If you're after a transformative experience, mixed with plenty of fun and new connections, come to Breathing Cold. You won't regret it!

My experience at Breathing Cold Bali with Alex was quietly transformational, not because of dramatic emotional release, but because of the shift in perspective it created. The space felt warm, playful, and safe, which allowed the breathwork to move beyond technique into real nervous system reset, helping me release stored stress in a grounded way. The ice bath was the deeper teacher, confronting control, softening resistance, and discovering calm inside discomfort. It wasn’t hype or forced catharsis; it was simple, honest work that left me lighter, clearer, and more resilient, with a renewed understanding that strength comes not from fighting stress, but from surrendering to it.
The surroundings of the home a makes you inspired by nature and the vegan food, I fell in love with it. Absolutely recommended when you are in Ubud

I did Alex's training in April 2025 and this course has been the BEST investment I've EVER made in myself. A deep desire to learn more about the power of breathwork and ice baths is was initially drew me to Alex's course, but I came away with more than I could of ever imagined. I could honestly write pages and pages about my experience. The amount of safety and trust I felt in the container Alex created, allowed me to go deep and fully trust the process. I learnt so much about myself and my triggers and received tools and lessons that I know will ripple out into the rest of my life. This course is magic. It gave me permission to drop my mask, allow myself to be fully seen in all my vulnerability and doing all this within a community of others also doing the same was so SO powerful for me. Started out as strangers, and I left with friends who will hold a place in my heart forever. Thank you Alex, I am forever grateful!!

I’ve been absolutely loving Alex’s 11-week online course. The videos, filmed with the gentle sounds and scenery of Bali behind him, instantly calm my nervous system and create a peaceful space to learn and reflect.

Alex is a natural teacher oozing authenticity, you can truly feel his passion for this modality. What I love most is that he’s not trying to be a ā€œguruā€ like so many others selling courses. His wisdom comes from lived experience, science, and genuine embodiment.

All of his teachings are invitations, not instructions. He encourages you to explore and discover what works best for you and your own nervous system. The conversations he’s shared with authors are so rich and insightful, especially the one with Peter Levine on healing trauma and spiritual growth, which deeply resonated with me as someone passionate about trauma work.

Even though I’ve studied Breathwork for a couple years now, I’m still taking away new insights each week. Whether you’re just starting your Breathwork journey or have been on it for years, this 11-week course will meet you exactly where you are.
You won’t be disappointed. ✌🏼

I didn’t join this training to become a breathwork & ice bath facilitator, that was just a bonus. I came because I was stuck in fear, buried under years of pain, and completely disconnected from who I really was. Something about Alex's approach called me in and gave me hope.
His use of breathwork and ice baths goes way beyond physical benefits — it’s about emotional release, trauma healing, and deep reconnection with the Self. And that’s exactly what I experienced in the environment he created for us, in which I felt safer than anywhere I had ever been to just be ME.
Through this training, I remembered who I am. It helped me to see myself clearly again, uncover what is blocking my growth, and begin to let it go. It felt like years of therapy in three powerful weeks. I came home stronger and with something to fight for: my Self.

Dear Alex,

These 21 days of breathwork training have been nothing short of transformative for me. I’ve had the privilege of exploring various healing modalities before, but this experience was truly unlike any other. Through your guidance, I didn’t just learn to breathe — I remembered how to connect with myself in a way I never had before.

I reconnected with my body, my emotions, my thoughts — even the parts of me I once ignored or overlooked. This journey brought me home to myself. It deepened my connection not only to my purpose, but also to my desires, my truth, and to what I genuinely feel about life and about me.

Breath — something we take for granted every moment — took on an entirely new meaning. It became my anchor, my teacher, my bridge to awareness. I realized I had been breathing all my life, but never really known how to breathe. And the day I understood the power of my breath… I began to understand the value of my life.

Since this training, I feel calmer, sharper, and more present. My mind and heart are no longer in conflict — they are now working in harmony. I’ve learned how to balance feeling deeply and thinking clearly. I’ve begun to act with awareness, and I can feel how beautifully that’s shaping my life.

My reactions have softened. I’ve become more loving, more compassionate — especially towards myself. And that, I believe, is one of the greatest gifts any training can offer.

Alex my mentor , a person who doesn’t just teach — he embodies. He holds space with a rare kind of presence that feels safe, honest, and deeply human. He leads without ego, guides without judgment, and listens without filters. With Alex, I didn’t feel the pressure to be more — I felt the permission to be fully myself , just being me .. His authenticity, neutrality, and grounded energy make him not just a coach but a channel through which transformation gently unfolds..a person who’s always there to help you to grow and evolve.

Thank you for holding such a powerful, sacred space. Thank you for your wisdom, your presence, and the depth you bring to your work. This experience will always stay with me…

With deep respect and gratitude,
Love and a big hug

I’ll be honest - I was skeptical about how much breathwork can work in general, never mind in just 3 hours, but equally I was intrigued given all the hype around it so I contacted Alex for a session when I was travelling to Bali.

One word - wow. It’s difficult to articulate what happened during our session but I was able to access parts of myself that I’ve never been able to before, not through any therapy or other techniques.

From the start Alex created such an open and relaxed atmosphere, nothing felt forced, he explained how the session would work without pushing any expectation on what I should or should not be feeling.

I was surprised at how quickly I was able to immerse myself in the session, be fully present and let go of a lot of anger, sadness and frustration all through the power of breath. Having done ice baths before it was actually great to learn a technique that was so much more impactful and was a great way to finish the session.

The experience has definitely ignited me to start being serious about incorporating breathwork in to my routine. If I can achieve as much as I did in 3 hours I’ll definitely be looking to do the 3 week course as soon as I can.

I absolutely loved the 2-day workshop with Alex. It's truly incredible how much can shift in terms of mindset during such a short time with right support. The biggest gift for me was being able to let go of my resistance (ice) and need for control (breathwork).

What a beautiful gift. Alex didn’t just teach me the about philosophies, theories and benefits of breathwork and ice baths. He didn’t just show me breathwork and ice bath techniques. Alex guided me to reconnect with my most-true self. His teachings showed me how beautifully posssible it is to be my own healer; That living my best life and being my best self are much more attainable and realistic than I could have imagined. Alex doesn’t teach us how to change. He helps us become ourselves. And he does this with humbleness, fun and a nourishing touch of silliness here and there. Most importantly, he does this with joy. His love for his life, his pupils and the journey of breath-work and ice baths are evidenced by the joy with which he conducts himself.
Thank you, Alex🙏🏼. I’m looking forward to the unwritten chapters of my breath-work, self-discovery and self-love journey.

I had a truly transformative two-day experience. The kind of weekend I wish I could give myself every year. Revisiting the fundamentals of breathwork and discovering the benefits of ice baths was powerful. I explored new practices for connecting with my emotions and with others. Sharing all of this in a group setting made it even more meaningful. I reconnected with what really matters. I allowed myself to let go, to forgive, and to end the weekend feeling light and ready to shine. Thanks you Alex
